Velonia
Your intervals, raced.
Structured interval workouts as bike races against AI riders, for your smart trainer and iPad.
Join the iPad beta Coming soon to the App Store
Every session is a race
Sweet spot, threshold, VO2, anaerobic: each one is a club race on a course built for the effort, from a 19 km mountain climb for sweet spot to a circuit with a 12% wall for anaerobic efforts. Your clubmates and rivals are AI riders, scaled to your FTP, and on each climb the bunch rides at your target. Hold the wheel to the top and you've done the interval, with a live target on every climb showing your watts against it.
You nailed the workout. But can you take the win? Your clubmates chase down the moves and lead you out, and the sprint is up to you. Win or not, the recap after the race shows the work you did.
Or ride it, ERG on or off
Prefer a classic workout? Ride the same session as a group ride with the target on screen. With ERG on, the trainer holds the watts for you; with it off, the resistance follows the road and the effort is yours.

Free to download, with a kermesse, a punchy hill circuit and a sprint session to try. One in-app purchase unlocks everything. No account, no subscription, and nothing collected about you.
The details
- What you need
- An iPad and a Bluetooth smart trainer that speaks FTMS or FE-C over Bluetooth, or a Bluetooth power meter. Heart-rate straps work too. iPads don't do ANT+, so Velonia is Bluetooth only.
- Your FTP
- Enter it, or take the ramp test in the app. Every race and workout is set from it, on Easy, Normal or Hard, so the bunch rides at your efforts, not someone else's.
- Your rides
- Export any ride as a FIT file from the iPad's share sheet, then upload it to Strava, Garmin Connect, intervals.icu or your own training log. Nothing leaves your iPad unless you export it.
- The sessions
- Ten workouts and a tutorial: endurance, sweet spot, two threshold sessions, surge and settle, VO2 max, 30/30s, anaerobic, sprints and a ramp test. Seven of them can be raced as club races.
Ride it before launch
We're looking for beta testers with an iPad and a Bluetooth smart trainer, especially trainers other than the Tacx NEO. Everything is unlocked during the beta.
